TWO BROTHERS NINE AWARDS

NEW SUCCESSES OF CROATIAN ARTISTS

New recognitions have arrived in Croatia in recent days, and the destination is already well-known - the Vukojević family house. Two brothers, painters Josip and Nikola Vukojević, have won awards at the 23rd international competition "Valcuvina in Cornice," held in Cuvi, not far from Varese, Italy. This is a large-scale worldwide exhibition that this year brought together 42 artists from 17 countries. Croatian painters have been participating in this competition for the fifth consecutive year, and their quality is consistently demonstrated by the number of awards they receive. Out of a total of seven awards, five were bestowed upon Croatian artists. Remarkably, over the past four years, the Vukojević brothers have collectively earned nine awards, with Josip receiving six and Nikola three. These accolades further validate their immense talent and quality.

Both brothers have previously showcased their works at numerous individual and group exhibitions and art colonies. Josip, in particular, has been exceptionally active, presenting his art to audiences in various cities over the past few months. Notable exhibitions include "Restless Palette in the World of Silence" at the City Library in Đurđevac and "Shoka's Elegy," staged in the gallery space of the City Theater "Joza Ivakić" in Vinkovci. The Vukojević brothers also have exciting plans ahead, as they will both be featured in a September exhibition in Split, alongside artists from all over Europe.
